Void Glorious Void is the new trio of cellist/vocalist Gareth Skinner (solo artist), violist/vocalist Biddy Connor (Laura Jean, Magic Silver White, etc.) and cellist/vocalist Zoe Barry (Girls and Adam), all three familiar from collaborating with everyone from Underground Lovers to Missy Higgins to theredsunband. Described as “an urgent ensemble playing original songs and instrumentals concerned with overwhelming, far-reaching beauty and disgusted turmoil,” the band will play every Friday this month (yes, all five, starting tomorrow night) at Dane Certificate’s Magic Theatre, with various magicians and illusionists performing as well. It’s $10 on the door from 8pm each week. And remember: “Void Glorious Void successfully interdict musical mediocrity and lead by example, providing an enlightening road ahead.”
